System Map
The main goal of the project is to develop a product service system design with complementary elements that improve the laundry cleaning process. During the design process, it should be kept in mind that an intervention to the chosen FMCG product(s) is expected. At this point, the intervention is expected to give birth to a positive contribution to sustainability.
It is known that the channel which constitutes the majority of laundry products being sold is chain retail stores known as discounters. Also, a great portion of users does their laundry at their houses using their own washing machines and similar products. Consequently, the context of the product service system is considered to be as the items listed below:
-
Chain Retail Stores
-
User’s House
Ideation
Refill Station
Users come to retail stores and refill their detergent and fabric softener. Station has 4 screens. It provides multiple uses. It has 4 lids that can be open-closed to replace empty detergent containers with full ones. There is a drip tray in case any detergent drops out of the package.
Interface of Refill Station
Refillable Package
Refillable packages bought from chain retail stores in full form. As it is used, the bottle empties and the user goes back to the retail store and fills it from the refill station.
